My journey
My journey
My therapeutic journey began in 2010 when I attended therapy for the first time. I can wholeheartedly say today that it was the best gift that I gave to myself because I am still reaping the rewards.
My own transformative journey with a therapist that listened, validated and helped me understand why I was making certain choices, literally transformed my life. While life challenges will always happen, I am way more resilient, and bounce back with more focus and determination to achieve my goals.
So it became my life work. To share with others the lessons that I have learned and through one to one care, empathy and grace, facilitate the change that they want to see in their lives.
With over a decade of serving children and adults navigating areas such as mood disorders, domestic abuse, and parenting issues, I’ve learned that healing begins when someone truly listens. My practice is built on that belief.
At Freedom Integrative Therapy, I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where your voice matters. Whether you're unpacking trauma, seeking balance, or rebuilding from adversity, my integrative approach meets you exactly where you are. My work is shaped by years of walking beside resilient individuals—and every story I’ve heard has deepened my commitment to offer support, clarity, and hope.
You don’t have to navigate healing alone. Let’s begin your journey to freedom - together.
For extra spice, I was born in England to Jamaican parents. I moved to the US in 2006 and decided to stay. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, writing and spending time with my adult daughters and two cats. I also make mosaics from plates and jewelry, feel free to check out my website Melanin Mosaics.
