🧩Meet Resilience: A Story of Healing Through Art

Six weeks ago, I made a decision that changed everything: I chose to prioritize my mental health.

In the midst of professional upheaval and loss, I found solace in a daily ritual—creating art. This wasn’t just a hobby or a distraction. It became my sanctuary. Each day, I looked forward to becoming lost in the creative process, connecting with my inner self, and calming the storm inside.

The centerpiece of this journey was a mosaic made from shattered plates. As each plate broke, the shards echoed the very essence of the past six months of my life. What was once stable, secure, and predictable had unraveled into a broken relationship, shattered trust, disorganization, and chaos.

But here’s the thing: I’m a strategist. That’s not just a personality assessment—it’s how I move through life. I know how to see the bigger picture. I know how to take broken pieces, connect them, bring order to chaos, and deliver something meaningful.

And that’s exactly what I did with those shards.

Reader, meet Resilience.

Resilience is not just the name of the art piece—it’s who I am. My resilience means that my journey doesn’t end with broken, chaotic, disorganized pieces. My journey is about how I put those pieces together. It’s about how I reorganize and rebuild my life into a new picture—a better vision than what was there before.

I’m leaning into the fact that I’ve had to reconstruct my life before, and it became so much better. And I’m trusting in my ability to do it again.

So yes, I’m thankful I took the time to focus on my mental health. I’m grateful that art became the sanctuary where I could rest and find peace, even in the middle of the most turbulent storms. While difficult, I’m proud of this journey. I’m proud of Resilience. And I hope you see the beauty in it too.
